Opened in May 2015 this environmentally sustainable guesthouse is located in the modern eco-friendly Hunziker-Areal in the northern part of Zurich a 5-minute walk from the fairgrounds and the indoor stadium.Each room at the Gästehaus Hunziker features a tablet PC for free use free WiFi access wooden floors and a private bathroom.Rainwater is collected and used for flushing the toilets. Heat pumps use waste heat from a nearby data processing centre for heating and warm water.The solar panels on the roof cover around 40% of the guesthouse's electricity use. Energy-efficient LED lighting is used as well.
