Belmond Casa De Sierra Nevada has a mixture of colonial buildings that date from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. Its 33 rooms and suites are distributed throughout these buildings, including Casa del Parque, a seventeenth century fortress that was later used to house silver. There is also the famous Casa Principal, which was used in 1580 as the residence of the Archbishop of San Miguel de Allende and is now a National Heritage building.

White stone walls, arches, dark wood accents, Talavera baths, polished copper sinks and fireplaces bring to mind the rich historic atmosphere of the city.
