The Farmers Arms is a traditional friendly pub located in the heart of Cumbria. The pub lays claim to be one of the oldest in the lakes. Dating back to the 14th century the building took up use as a coaching Inn in the 17th century and has been welcoming customers ever since. br / br / br / br / Set in the Crake valley with views of the Old Man of Coniston and a strong reputation for good food and cask ales and wines the pub is popular with both locals and visitors and people working in Ulverston and Barrow. br / br / br / br / We are ideally located for exploring the Lake District and the rest of Cumbria. The pub is located between Ulverston and Coniston in the southern lakes and is a hour drive from the M6. We are only a 20 minute drive away from Coniston and 30 minute drive to the attractions at Windermere and the town of Barrow-in-Furness. br / br / br / br / We have 10 letting rooms (six double en-suite one single en-suite and three singles with a shared bathroom) - all of our room rates include our very generous Full English Breakfast made using only the best local ingredients. br / br / br / br / So weather you re looking for somewhere to stay for a work trip a romantic getaway or an action-packed holiday we can accommodate you.
