p Welcome to Hillhaven Bed & Breakfast where we provide 4-star bed and breakfast accommodation in Fortrose in the Highlands of Scotland. As a family-run guesthouse set just outside Fortrose Ross-Shire we re only 10 miles from Inverness and within easy reach of much that the Highlands of Scotland has to offer. We are ideally placed for tourists who want to discover the Highlands with Ullapool Loch Ness and Dornoch all within an hours drive. There s even private parking available on site. /p p Situated on the Black Isle just one mile from the historic village of Fortrose you ll enjoy the peace and tranquillity of being in the country. Whether you re visiting the area for golf at Dornoch Nairn Inverness or Fortrose Golf Courses walking or birdwatching dolphins boat trips or fishing in the Beauly Firth or Moray Firth shooting and stalking in the Highlands visiting the Glen Ord or Glen Morangie Whisky Distilleries in the area visiting Scottish historical points of interest such as Loch Ness or Fort George - our bed and breakfast is ideally situated just a short drive from the city of Inverness and is a great starting point for any of these activities. /p p Hillhaven has three guest rooms with the double room and the triple room both located upstairs in the building. Both of these rooms come complete with en-suite bathroom with shower. Our twin room is located downstairs in the building and has access to a private bathroom complete with walk in shower/sauna. Our comfortable airy rooms are equipped with WiFi fitted with a flat-screen TV tea/ coffee kettle toiletries and hairdryer. Some units feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. /p p A hearty traditional Scottish breakfast is served every morning in the dining room tea coffee juices cereals toast eggs bacon sausages tomato black pudding beans and all the trimmings healthier options and special dietary requirements can be catered for in advance. Optionally guests can tackle breakfast in front of the large window in the living area with beautiful views over the hills of the Black Isle and a shared lounge at the property. /p
Traveling from Inverness head North on the A9 over the Kessock Bridge until you come to the Tore roundabout. Take the 4th exit onto the A832 (signposted Fortrose & Cromarty). Continue on the A832 through Avoch and you will soon arrive in Fortrose. Half way along the High Street you will come upon the junction with Killen Road and Castle Street and turn left (past the butcher shop). Travel up the hill for about 1.1 miles (past the Broomhill Farm and Mount Pleasant Farm signs on your right). A further 0.3 miles along the road you will see a sign on the left side of the road for Ord Hill where you should turn right. Continue up the hill round the corner past the farm buildings on your left. On the crest of the hill you will find Hillhaven Bed & Breakfast.
