Parts of this charming Hall date back to the 14th century and were once visited by Oliver Cromwell and Henry VI. Surrounded by 19 acres of parkland it has retained the traditional timber framing and offers authentically furnished rooms in its 4th century tower. Guests can also enjoy all the modern comforts in the self-catering apartments that are equipped with flat-screen TVs, large beds and spacious marble bathrooms. The restaurant serves delicious dishes prepared with locally sourced produce and excellent local ales. For a hearty breakfast guests can head to the lounge bar for a full English or opt for the lighter continental options. Set at the foothills of the western slopes of the Lake District, the venue is a 10-minute drive from the Ravenglass Miniature Steam Railway and Muncaster Castle and 20 minutes by car from the mountains of Scafell Pike.
