Our Carlisle M6 hotel is in a well-placed spot midway between historic sights such as the medieval Carlisle Castle in the heart of the city and pretty Penrith known as the gateway to the Lake District. Whether you want to hit the shops be entertained at The Sands Centre or discover the Museum of Military Life there s loads to do while you can nip into the Lakes to see the likes of Grasmere. This hotel has upgraded rooms that feature a comfy king size bed with four plump pillows and a cosy duvet. Guests can enjoy a variety of food and drink choices within easy walking distance from this hotel. Early/Late Check-In/Out Service if you re looking to make the most of your day we can offer an Early Check-In service from 12:00noon and a Late Check-Out Service until 2pm so you have more time to relax - cost is £10 per service per room subject to availability - bookable direct by telephoning the hotel. We are a pet friendly hotel and allow up to 2 domestic pets per stay. This is at an additional charge of £20 per pet per stay. The hotel is located just off the M6 at Southwaite Services southbound site. Access is available from the northbound carriageway by following the directions below. Please note: Some sat navs do not recognise the postcode for this site. From M6 Northbound: Leave the M6 at Moto Southwaite services located after junction 41 keep in the left hand lane towards the petrol station. After approximately 150m from the motorway take the first left at the Travelodge sign then the next three left turns also signposted Travelodge into the southbound services. Follow the No Entry for lodge guests only sign and the hotel is situated towards the right hand side of the car park. Alternatively carry on north to junction 42 and turn back southbound to the services. From M6 Southbound: Turn off for Moto Southwaite services approximately 3 miles south of junction 42 keep left. After entering the services car park keep right the hotel is straight ahead. Parking details Travelodge car park has 39 spaces free of charge available on a first-come first-served basis. The car park adjoining the hotel is owned by Moto and operated on their behalf by CP Plus. All Travelodge customers travelling by motor vehicle must enter their vehicle registration number into the console at hotel reception when checking in. This will ensure free parking for the duration of your stay. Failure to do so may result in a parking fine of £15. Travelodge Hotels Ltd will not be liable for any fines incurred.
