The Basse Navarre, one of the three provinces in the French part of the Basque Country has a wonderful landscape combining countryside and the mountains just a few minutes from the Spanish border. The village of Aïcirits is located mid way between Biarritz and Pau (circa 60km). Many activities are on offer around the hostel, and notably the horse-riding centre and a motorcycle club in Saint Palais (2km). You will also be able to sample local produce directly from the farm or the Béarn vineyards. And not to mention the must-visit Sauveterre-de-Béarn (11km), a fortified village overlooking the Pyrenees with the famous Monréal Tower, an imposing defence tower some 30 metres high which is constructed on the rocks overlooking the river.
