Orient-Express Safaris is comprised of three unique safari camps in Botswana, all offering unparalleled opportunities to view multiple species of big game and bird life in their natural habitat. Each camp is located in its own unique ecosystem, making a visit to all three camps well worthwhile. All three camps are operated as a collective venture, making transportation between the camps seamless. The three camps include Eagle Island Camp, Khwai River Lodge and Savute Elephant Camp. All three camps are fully inclusive of meals, return transportation from Maun, Kasane or Livingstone Airports, inter-camp transportation and all safari activities. Accommodation is in spacious elevated luxury air-conditioned tents, each with its own large deck, ideal for viewing local wildlife. Eagle Island Camp is located in Botswana's Okavango Delta, situated on remote Xaxaba island. The camp overlooks a web of waterways and lush vegetation, including a lagoon that attracts a breathtaking variety of big game and exotic birds. Guests can explore the region by local canoe, set out on a game drive or venture out on foot. The diversity and propensity of the wildlife at Eagle Island Camp will fascinate even the most seasoned of travelers to Africa. Khwai River Lodge is nestled on the edge of a forest overlooking the vast floodplains of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Known for its exceptional range of big game, a host of animals are visible from the comfort of your own private deck at this luxury safari camp, including lions, cheetahs, hippos and birds of prey. Activities at Khwai River Lodge include morning and afternoon game drives in open land cruisers. Night spotlight game drives and star gazing presentations are also conducted after dinner. Khwai River Lodge also features a spa where guests can enjoy indulgent treatments in the spa or in the privacy of their own tent. As it name suggests, Savute Elephant Camp is known for the herds of elephants that can be spotted roaming its plains. But other large animals also gather here to slake their thirst, especially now that the intermittent Savute Channel has started flowing through Chobe National Park once again after an absence of nearly 30 years. Savute Elephant Camp promises outstanding game viewing without having to leave the confines of the camp itself, so prevalent is the wildlife around the water hole. When you do venture out in open 4x4 vehicles, there are excellent opportunities to see wildlife on the now dry Savute Marsh.
