From the South: Follow the A1 and at the second junction after the Metro Centre junction signposted Consett/Blaydon A694 follow signs for the A694/695 and then A1114 (Metro Centre). The Travelodge is situated quarter of a mile from the A1 and is opposite TGI Fridays. From the North: Follow signs for A1 Gateshead/A1(M) south. Stay on A1 passing B&Q Warehouse on the left. Immediately after crossing the River Tyne exit the A1 at the next junction signposted Consett A694. Stay in the left hand filter lane for A695 Newcastle and Blaydon and the A2225 Metro Centre. The Travelodge is situated quarterof a mile from the A1 opposite TGI Fridays. From the West: Leave A69 at the junction with A1 and follow directions above. From the East: Follow the signs for A695 Blaydon travel along Scotswood Road on the rorth side of the River Tyne. Just past the Alvis Vickers building take a left onto Scotswood Bridge.
