Anglo American Hotel is a beautiful hotel that was completely refurbished in year 2000. It is located around a 10 minute walk to the central attractions and is designed in a modern, classical style - with a big marble lobby and generally expansive public areas. This is one of the favourite hotels, right in the centre of Florence yet in a tranquil setting, with all the splendour that you would expect from a hotel dating back to 1792. Antique furnishings and art works transport you back to a time rich in elegance, no wonder regulars have included Maria Callas, Rudoph Nureyev and Carla Fracci.
