p Crazy by name and positively crazy by nature Stadhampton homes the original Bear from its eccentric collection of boutique hotels. Far from grizzly the super-lavish hotel is an Aladdin s Cave that takes pride of place within 80 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. /p p Whether you opt for an original room or go wild with an upgrade (with your very own la-de-dah infinity copper bath tub) you re in for a spectacular treat. All rooms are extraordinarily unique draped in sensory velvets bold prints and striking golds -amidst other surprises. Think film star meets Henry VIII . /p p Once you ve picked your jaw up off the floor the rest of the one-time 16th century public house is equally as impressive. There s an oversized wooden sea admiral at the entrance and a double decker bus reception to name just a couple of OMG features. /p p Based on what your palate s pushing you can fly across the world in culinary wonder within the hotel. From English feasts to Thai banquets both of the Bear s restaurants use the finest ingredients to cook up a delight (many ingredients come from their working farm). /p p There s 2 bars to choose from. Whether you re craving a cocktail with character below timber beams and ornate chandeliers or a zen zone sitting pretty within the outdoor terrace beneath the sun and stars you re onto a winner. /p p If you can bear to leave your boudoir there s some cool things to do around the hotel and grounds. You could treat yourself to a traditional Thai massage visit the onsite farm and farm shop and it s well worth keeping your eyes peeled for any planned special events. /p p In a nutshell Beautifully boutique /p
