The Smugglers Inn is an old farmers cottage that has been converted and added to over the years and is now a comfortable old inn with 7 en-suite bedrooms all with wide screen TV Free wifi and free parking. It is nestled back from the road and has two gardens a small tea garden and a larger beer garden with a large Conservatory and countryside views I know you will enjoy a pleasant stay with us be it for only one night or ten. br / br / br / br / We are situated in a fairly central position for all areas of Cornwall 10 minutes to Newquay 20 minutes to Padstow Bodmin Wadebridge St Austell & Truro 60 minutes to Landsend or Plymouth. br / br / We have a great many attractions all within 25 minutes drive of the Hotel including a number of Golf links and courses. The closest two beaches Mawgan Porth and Watergate bay are only a very easy 4 minute drive away. . br / br / br / br / Newquay Airport is only a 4 minute walk away br / br / br / br / Even though we are close to the airport The smugglers is a very quiet place to stay as there is no flying at night and not much during the day and being in a beautiful rural setting the only thing that you may just hear will be the dawn chorus. br / br / br / br / We are situated just above the beautiful village of St Mawgan with it s 13th-century parish church and 16th century Lanherne Carmelite Convent sitting just above the Menalhyl river which runs right through the heart of the village to Mawgan Porth. There are very pretty walks along the river to Mawgan porth or in the opposite direction to St Columb Major. In the village you will find the Japanese Garden and Bonsai centre A Craft shop Antique shop an old village shop and post office with a cafe conservatory. br / br / Well behaved dogs and children are welcome.

By Bus Get off the bus at the next stop just after it has passed Newquay Airport. at the Carloggas Stop. From the Airport. If you are walking: walk to the far end of the East Car Park (2 mins from Arrivals Door) then cross the road and walk to the hotel infront of you (2 minutes) If you are driving from the airport turn right as you come out of the airport car park and the hotel is on your left hand side in 30 - 45 seconds Driving: The Smugglers Inn at the Airways Hotel Little Carloggas St Mawgan TR8 4EQ Follow the signs to Newquay Airport Leave the A30 at the roundabout approaching Indian Queens Take the 3rd exit on to the A39 After a couple of minutes take the 3rd exit at the 2nd roundabout ( staying on the A39) After another couple of minutes at the 3rd roundabout take the 1st exit on to the A3059 When you have passed the petrol station on your right prepare to take the next turning 500yds to the right still following the signs to the airport. Drive through the tunnel of trees (this is far better in the summer when they are all in leaf) When you come out of the trees into the open prepare to turn right. Pass the first turning to St Mawgan and take the second turning about 40 yards further on into our car park on the right. If by some chance you should turn too soon down towards St Mawgan don t worry just take the first turning on your left (25 yards) which will bring you right to the front of The SMUGGLERS INN. Park in any numbered space. If you get as far as the Airport (you silly Billy) you have gone 200 yards too far so turn around and come back............. If you use a Sat Nav when you are within 25 yards of us it will tell you to take the first turning on the right either ignore this or take the first turning to the left as soon as you have turned off the main road towards St Mawgan. It s easier from Newquay take the road through Porth and Watergate then after Tregurrian take the first turning on the right towards the airport. After you have passed the airport prepare to turn Left into our car park.
