A warm and friendly Devon gastropub and intimate six bedroom hotel our focus is on delicious inventive cuisine using locally sourced amazing fresh Devon produced and successfully merging wonderful hospitality with great food. br / br / We are centrally located in Torbay with all that has to offer with have a huge car park and great transport links to nearby Torquay Paignton Brixham and Dartmouth - we even have the truly atmospheric Churston Ferrers Steam Railway Station within 10 meters of the front door! The Weary Ploughman Inn has been steeped in local history since the 1800s having been originally built as The Railway Hotel. We ve become a very popular meeting place for Agatha Christie fans Agatha apparently used to sit and write on table C4 whilst waiting for the train to London and the Queen of Crime s riverside residence at Greenway now run by the National Trust is just 2 miles away with a free bus leaving from just outside our front door. br / br / The Weary Ploughman Inn has six quality en suite bedrooms with either bath or shower. They are contemporarily furnished have a flat screen T.V hair dryer complimentary hot beverages. All our customers can enjoy free WI-Fi. Our dedicated housekeepers Maria and Julie keep everything immaculate and strive to make any stay as comfortable as possible. We can provide an iron and ironing board or provide extra pillows/duvets/blankets and up to two extra camp beds in some rooms. Breakfasts are a touch of luxury as well a wide range of cereals fresh seasonal fruits and berries juices and yogurt our great chefs work in rotation to come in and cook to order a superb range of breakfast dishes. Including vegetarian and vegan options. With notice we can accommodate off menu requests such as Soya milk or Kippers etc. We are also happy to put together a breakfast box that you can take up to your room the night before.

M5 Exeter - Road: The M5 at junction 31 Exeter changes to the A38. Follow the signs to Torquay and A380. At Newton Abbot and the Pen Inn Roundabout take 2nd exit A380. Continue along A380 following signs to Torquay then at roundabout take 2nd exit and follow signs to Brixham on A380 and then on the A3022. In approx. 7 miles turn right onto Dartmouth Road by Churston Common. You will see Churston Golf Club on your left - we are approx 150m on right over the bridge (you turn into a service road)
