What we offer you is not just a simple B&B service, but a moment of relaxation to share with us the simple family atmosphere in our home built by our grandfather in the 50's. This moment starts with breakfast, so lovingly prepared by mum Gisella. The cakes and pies she makes are very well known and appreciated in the area and among our guests. Then, after a satisfying breakfast, you will be ready to take on the day and visit our wonderful countryside and places of interest.RoomsThe bedrooms are upstairs where there are two communal bathrooms. We have transformed the old loft under roof on the 2nd floor into a very spacious and comfortable attic room (50 sq.Mts.), All in wood, from where you have a great view of the landscape from the plains to the Appennines. This room is ideal for families of 4/5 people, but it's much appreciated by young couples too, thanks to its romantic style.LocationWe are situated in the very centre of the "little world" that slice of land which is fat and flat which is between the river and the mountain - the Po and the Appennines, as described by our very own famous writer Guareschi and creator of the infamous characters Peppone and Don Camillo. This area is also called Bassa Parmense which corresponds to the plain in the north part of the Parma province.Distances:Motorway A1, Milano-Bologna, Parma exit: km 25Motorway A1, Fidenza exit, Salsomaggiore: km 18Motorway A15 of Cisa Pas, Parma Ovest exit: km 20Parma exhibition fair: km 20Parma Airport, Giuseppe Verdi: km 23Parma: km 25Mantova: km 60Cremona: km 30Bologna: km 100Milano: km 140Parco delle 5 Terre (UNESCO): km 120OtherThere are several places of interest in our region that are not well known by tourists yet: this is why you still can find genuine people that will bring you in real contact with the territory.- The Castles of the Bassa Parmense : the Rocca dei Rossi, aristocratic family home of San Secondo Parmense, the Rocca Sanvitale in Fontanellato, the Rocca in Soragna, still inhabited by Prince Diofebo Meli Lupi.- The "Mondo Piccolo" (little world) of Giovannino Guareschi, author of the novels of "Don Camillo e Peppone", born in our village (Fontanelle).- The "Places of Verdi", where you can visit the birthplace of the of Giuseppe Verdi, the Villa of Sant'Agata and Busseto village, where the master lived and worked.- The Po river, called "Il Grande Fiume" the big river, peaceful and dangerous at the same time.
