Nestled in one of the most famous countrysides of the world, this property boasts spectacular views and is the ideal starting and returning point for touring in Chianti and Tuscany thanks to its priviledged location between Florence and Sienna.EXTERNAL DESCRIPTIONThe villa is surrounded by high cypresses bordering the estate and creating a relaxing atmosphere of privacy. Villa Edera is embraced by a wonderful terraced lawn (1500 sq) overlooking a stunning valley and boasts several panoramic views of rare beauty.At a lower level from the mansion there is a vast park (around 3000 s.q.) and a gorgeous private swimming pool (16 x 8 mt dept from 140 cm to 70 cm), equipped with cozy sunbeds, an elegant sun shade tent and a vast gazebo with armchairs, fridge and a table perfect for light meals and fresh drinks at poolside. The swimming pool is connected to the villa by a comfortable uderground passageway.The property and the garden overlook an idyllic valley and allure the guest to enjoy the breathtaking view of the San Gimignano towers, from the lounge area sheltered by an exquisite sun shade tent, perfect for sunset cocktails or for a short rest waiting for the meals under the impressive gazebo which hosts a magnificent dining table for 26 people.Compleate the lounge area a barbecue and a wooden pizza oven, able to turn a simple meal into a real party! Near the swimming pool there is also an outdoor play area where there is a net adjustable for volley ball or badmington along with a bocce and croquet court. All sports equipment is provided.INTERNAL DESCRIPTIONVilla Edera 24 is a property part of a complex of ancient buildings finely renovated and brought to a new life. Original beams, brick archways and all the most precious inherited items have been preserved and valued along with all the modern comforts with the result and effect of a prestigious residence full of charme.Villa Edera 24 is made of the main villa, a separate wing of the villa with an independant entrance and a cottage.The main Villa, which is an ancient watchtower of the XVth century, is set on 2 floors: ground floor, mezzanine and first floor.Ground floor: a lovely foyer welcomes the guest and leads to a small terrace overlooking a majestic dining room guarded by an impressive open hearte fireplace. This charming room focuses on the huge dining table for 26 people which crosses over the whole area until a beautiful glass doors opening to the garden.Follows a vast kitchen totally equipped with commercial appliances and kitchenware (stovetop, griddle, oven, microwave, ice maker, commercial fridge with six temperature zones for fridge, freezer and wine storage, dishwasher etc.). Next to the kitchen there is delightful dining room with a table for 10 people, particularly suitable for breakfasts. The ground level offers also a lovely sitting room for 10 people with TV, CD player and Ipod dock. Completes the floor a breakfast corner and an handy guest bathroom with washer/dryer.Mezzanine: at this floor there is a charming double bedroom with canopy bed with en-suite bathroom equipped with tub and separate shower.First floor: all this level is a sleeping area made of 6 elegant double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom. Four bedrooms and have bath tub and shower, one with Jacuzzi tub and another has Jacuzzi tub plus separate shower.Cottage: the cottage has only the ground level and welcomes the guest a cozy sitting room with Tv, a kitchenette fully equipped (stovetop, fridge, sink etc.). Follows a lovely double bedroom (beds can be splitted) and a bathroom with shower. The cottage is suitable for elderly or people with disability since it has a room with its own bathroom fully equipped for disabled people, according the requirements by law.Separate entrance wing of the main villa:This area of the main villa is kept separated from the whole building and is set on 2 floors.Ground floor: the area is taken up by a delightful sitting room for 12 people furnished with elegant sofas and TV. There is also a fully equipped kitchen (stove top, fridge, dishwasher etc.) with an access to the garden and embellished by a lovely fireplace. Follows a cozy double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower), which has its own access to the garden. Completes the ground floor a guest bathroom.First floor: this floor is all reserved to the sleeping area and is made up of 3 double bedrooms, 2 on the left side and a third on the right. A fourth room on the right provided with a sofa bed can be used as room for children (up to 12 years old) and in such a case Villa Edera can sleep up to 26 people. The first bedroom (beds can be splitted) has an en-suite bathroom with shower, the second bedroom has its own bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and lastly the third bedroom has en-suite bathroom with shower.Included internet Wi-Fi and air conditioning. With the exception of the cottage's bedroom all the bedroom have screened windows. The cottage is handicap accessible since it has an adequately equipped bathroom.The villa is protected by an alarm system and has armoire safes in each bedroom. You can have a drive in the Chianti hills and taste wine in the famous wine castles. Poggibonsi is the nearest town, 3,5 km, where there is a big grocery store, Pam, just a couple of minutes away. You find everything in this town and there is a market on Tuesday morning. Also many restaurants and trattorias, some very famous and also very good and cheap ones. A near hospital. There is a place to play tennis. You can rent bicycles and mountain bikes. A golf course, Castelfalfi, with 18 hole, is 40 minutes away. Just walking out of the gate, you can have amazing walks in an untouched countryside with a spectacular view of the towers of San Gimignano. Unique!
